Summary
Supervise the RF Design & Optimization team of Nineveh network.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out detailed analysis of drive test data, KPI and also perform advanced troubleshooting & prepare sites configuration data.
Troubleshooting of RF & software/hardware related issues impacting performance.
Perform parameter audits on regular basis.
Report generation of KPIs from Netact/SAP BO.
Make sure KPIs meet acceptance criteria and elaborate the corresponding reports.
Work on new/swapped sites, making sure the site is properly integrated into the network and optimized for peak performance.
RF network performance optimization covering field & KPI optimization using parameter tuning for 2G/3G/4G sites.
Verifying SARs & SSVRs for new/swapped sites.
Build excel macro, scripts or other automated tools/means to speed up KPI analysis, log analysis & KPI reporting.
Building test plans & execution strategies for qualification of new products/features.
Supervise and lead the day to day team members on planning/optimization & execution of daily tasks(2G/3G/4G) for best efficiency and reliability.
Redesign mature network areas to minimize capacity constraints and improve network performance & services while working with other areas of the network to ensure performance fixes/initiatives are in place.
Perform Macro design including site location based on coverage prediction and other planning factors, antenna selection and placement.
Use tools (Netact, ATOLL, Tems Discovery, Spectrum Analyser) to process regulatory compliance.
Find and resolve system issues on the network by utilizing traditional and non-traditional means.
Participate in various trials for new technology, antennas, Radios, and tools.
Guide with the field drive test teams for testing the RF environment during field optimization, complaints solving, trial & deployment of new sites.
Other duties as assigned.
Competencies
Experience in the cellular or telecommunications industry with direct experience in RF Design & Optimization 2G & 3G.
Knowledge & understanding of RF theory, call flows, KPI statistics practice as well as WCDMA & GSM Technology.
Knowledge in Nokia & Ericsson.
Knowledge of RF theory and practice in LTE & MIMO Technology.
Proficient in office computer applications: various RF tools such as MapInfo, Actix, post-processing software, etc.,
Analytic, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Time management, prioritization and project planning skills.
Understanding of LTE-A, MIMO & 5G RAN technology & deployment models.
Understanding of Small Cells, HetNet, Macro deployment scenario.
Understanding of 3GPP standards covering procedures.
Flexible working attitude and ability to work independently and take the initiative.
Work Experience
3-5 years of work experience in relevant field.
Education
Bachelor or Master in Electronics, Communications or Computer Engineering.
